ESL Game 10 - The Spelling Race

This set of ESL is one of my most popular games of all time! All students love to compete against each other to see who is the best ... and this game always rewards the best! ESL this game is basically a spelling bee. When I say "Spelling Race," I mean, two students come to the shore, the teacher says a word and the two students try to spell the word. Ever student writes the word correctly before the victory. List all names of students on the board as follows: 1. Bill 2. Sally 3. Tom 4. Jerry 5. Susan 6. Jim 7. Candy 8. Jack 9. Toby 10. Mitch 11. Pat 12. Call Mary Jo first two students. One word for them to write. Students who never loses the spelling bee ~ delete your old name. Round 1 1. Bill 2. X 3. Tom 4. X 5. X 6. Jim 7. Candy 8. X 9. X 10. Mitch 11. X 12. Mary Jo (the X means that are outside the game.) In 2 ESL students won the first round of the battle of the spelling competition with each other in another spelling bee. EX. Round 2 1. Bill 3. X 6. X 7. Candy 10. Mitch 12. XA depending on the number of ESL students are in class ~ you can have three students in the final. For the last round ... I usually students to write three words. The spelling bee winner is the student who is a student who earns the final round: Ex 1 final. X 7. X 10 Mitch (Mitch is the winner and best in class spelling!) Good luck, teaching English! Try this game in class the next time you are making spelling, students will absolutely love it!
