Finally... An Easy To Understand Introduction To Computers
When the word "technology", most people think of computers. Virtually every aspect of our lives has some computerized component. The appliances in our homes are built on these chips, as do our televisions. Even our cars have a computer. However, the team that everyone thinks of first is typically the personal computer or PC. This is a general purpose tool around a microprocessor. A PC has many different parts such as memory, hard disk, modem, etc. working together. A PC is called "general purpose" because you can do many things with it like this: we can use to type documents, send email, surf the web and play. We see that the main components of a typical desktop computer. central processing unit (CPU): The microprocessor "brain" of the computer system is defined as the central processing unit. The CPU controls everything a computer does. Memory: This fast file and data storage and connects directly to the microprocessor. That's because it is fast. There are several types of memory in a computer system: random access memory (RAM): Used to temporarily store information that the team is currently working. Read-only memory (ROM): This refers to memory chips of the computer containing permanent or semi-permanent data that does not change. Basic Input / Output: is necessary to establish basic communication when the system is running. Is directly connected to the motherboard. Caching: storing frequently used data in fast RAM that connects directly to the CPU. Virtual memory: Used to temporarily store data and exchange in and out of RAM. Motherboard: This is the core team that has the processor, RAM, ROM BIOS, timing and control, interrupt and direct memory access hardware and keyboard interface are connected up through the secondary connection. Sound Card: this device attaches to the motherboard making called PCI, which allows the computer to play CDs or music files, MP3 or CD. All sound cards and speaker connectors. Sound quality depends on the quality of the paper. Hard drive: This is the main storage device of a computer. It stores information including the operating system that provides access to everything. The most common PC operating system is Microsoft Windows. And Apple computers use the Macintosh operating system. Other drives: Most computers are also complete with floppy disks and CD drives. These vary from one system to another, but all function identically. They read the information stored on disks. These are necessary to maintain and update the software on your computer and operating system. That's the components that create the media computer. Although there are many different systems, and configuration-tions, it is difficult to imagine life without them. The author has been fascinated with computers for over 30 years. He has been called a computer geek, and resembles the observation. He is known for the complex subject of computers and Laymans division in terms that are easy to understand. Roger A. Pendey is passionate about computers and is the webmaster of FIFO Computer
